Hi & welcome to a safe, judgment-free space where we will discuss just HOW BIG of a deal food really is in your life (or why it should be). It’s a part of our everyday life. And every corner you look (whether in magazines or social media) there seems to be some new trend/fad diet making its way into the world of nutrition making food feel that much more complicated. Too often I see patients give up on their health from a nutrition standpoint because it feels too overwhelming. But the part I love about nutrition is YOU ARE IN CONTROL, you are in the driver seat and it really doesn’t have to be that complicated. With this being said, there is no one size fits all when it comes to nutrition. Which is why I have become a Registered Dietitian in order to help each person feel empowered when it comes to their diet, rather than leaving them defeated and confused.  I received my bachelors of science degree in dietetics and went on to obtain my RD credentials in the state ofCalifornia. From a personal standpoint, I had always wanted to find the “perfect diet” to keep my weight healthy and my nutrient levels within desired limits. After years of education, I quickly learned just how complex each body is, thus how important it is to take a very individualized approach with nutrition.  Everyone’s needs are very different for many different reasons (genetics, activity levels, thyroid function, culture, occupation, personal goals, etc).  My reason for choosing WholesomelyU for my private practice location is because of the preventative approach practitioners focus on here. When I am not seeing patients in the comfy space at WholesomelyU, I am working as a clinical dietitian at our local acute care hospital. So, I see both sides of the nutrition world every day. Those who become very sick and those who want to take action in preventing comorbidities. Seeing both inpatient and outpatient is the truly BEST OF BOTH WORLDS because it’s allowed me to see just how big of a role nutrition plays in both settings. But to be totally honest, I’d rather see you outpatient in a preventative setting in order to take control of your health NOW. It’s never too early or late to take your health seriously. If we don’t have our health, we don’t have anything, mentally, emotionally or physically.  Nutrition really is SO rewarding to work on for your body, mind, spirit and whole wellbeing as a person. I love how much it can positively affect your life, how you show up for those that you love and how you FEEL while doing it all.  So whether you are struggling with weight management, heart health, disordered eating, liver disease, etc – I cannot wait to see you & better your health one bite at a time, together :)

Please note that I am not a medical doctor and I do not diagnose disease states. I strongly advise you to always talkwith your doctor before working with a registered dietitian.
